Spring is in the air, and so is the excitement for our next book club pick! The book we will be reading for March is “The Match” by Sarah Adams. This month, I decided to take the reins and select the book myself, rather than doing our usual poll. I've noticed participation has been a bit inconsistent lately…I know life gets busy, but I truly believe we will all enjoy this unexpected romance story.
I'm truly looking forward to seeing more of you participate in the discussions this month. It's so much more fun when we share our thoughts and connect over a good book. Let's make it a goal to really engage with each other this time around!
This book really caught my eye due to the mention of service dogs and a single dad. For those who have been rocking with me for a minute, you know my husband was a single dad when I met him. He’s also the one who told me all about Schnauzers and is the reason I have my good boy Simba :)

About the Book
Evie is trying to save her service dog company and in the process she meets a single dad, Jacob, whose daughter wants a service dog because she has epilepsy. Unexpectedly, sparks fly, even though it's complicated. They find love and family while finding a dog for Jacob's daughter. Heartwarming, cute, and a bit messy!

How to Participate in the Book Club
Introduce yourself and your furkid(s) in the Dog Moms Only Book Club Lobby chat thread. Share a photo of you together. If you don’t have one of you together, that’s ok, just share a photo of you and then of your dog or just of your dog...however you wanna do it.
However I do encourage you to take a photo with your dog if you don’t have one. You should have photos of you and your dog to always have those memories. I also encourage you to share photos because we wanna see your dog of course!
There’s a chat area right here on the Substack app. If you found out about the Dog Moms Only Book Club from my Dog Moms Only Community on Facebook and don’t want to download another app, feel free to join us in the Dog Moms Only Book Club chat on Facebook instead. Please see email version of this newsletter to get access to the link as the Book Club discussions are for newsletter subscribers only.You must be a newsletter subscriber via Substack to get access to the Book Club though. You will receieve the newsletter in your email and don’t have to use the Substack app, but I encourage to use the Substack app for a better experience and to be more involved in the book club.
Once you have introduced yourself, see who else has introduced themselves in the lobby chat thread and just simply hold their message to reply to welcome them and tap an emoji icon to show some love/react.
Next head over to the kickoff chat thread and view our book of the month. You’ll see what we will be reading and you can chime in on how excited you are to start reading the book and what your thoughts are based on the description of the book. Feel free to leave any suggestions here for the book club as well.
You can let us know how you’ll be reading the book. Will you be listening? Will you be reading on your Kindle? Will you be reading a physical copy? Share a photos of you and your furkid with your book when you get it or while you’re reading. Aw! I can’t wait to see!Once you have the book, start reading! You can follow the schedule below (for example I’ll be done reading chapters 1-16 by March 16th) or you can read at your own pace. If you read at your own pace, don’t jump in the chat thread or discussion post until you’ve caught up because there will be spoilers! This time I think I’ll just make one chat thread and one discussion post. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.
You’ll just go to THIS chat thread and tap on “reply/replies” to join in on the discussion in that thread. See below
Once you tap reply/replies, you’ll can start discussing those chapters mentioned. Then the next week, I’ll post the next chapter thread to start discussing.
